When I get up I have a generic back pain towards my lower back. It remains for a few hours in the first half of the day. What do you think would be the problem?

lower back pain soon after getting up is mechanical back pain due to lack of strength over lower back muscles , do exercises which improve back muscles

the problem of early morning back ache is mainly of muscular origin, simple spine exercises and local cold/hot packs in the early morning will usually reduce the pain to tolerable limits, one pain is tolerable you could try swimming, yoga or aerobics
