Hi, I have been facing back pain in the upper and middle part of the back. I have a soar back each day when I wake up in the morning. For the last couple of days, I am able to sense back pain even in sleep and unable to get a good sleep. Have a feeling that the posture also is being compromised for almost an year now.
What is the suitable recommendation you would like to give for such a symptom ?

In my experience, upper back pain is generally mechanical, i.e. it is not due to disc. It can be due to a sprained spinous ligament which has to be properly examined to say anything for sure. It could be muscular but those generally don't stay for so long.
Next Steps
you need sit straight, don't sit continuously for long, do some stretches. All these will help in muscle pain, but it would need a proper treatment if it is due to ligament.
