Lower back pain on one side around 6–7 weeks after a C-section is quite common and is usually due to weak core muscles, posture changes, or sacroiliac joint strain. In most cases, it improves gradually over the next few weeks without any major treatment. Try to maintain good posture, avoid sudden movements, and start gentle postnatal back-strengthening exercises. Warm compresses can help reduce discomfort while walking. Medicines are usually not needed, but paracetamol can be taken if pain increases and is safe during breastfeeding.
