Thanks for writing in,
If it is just pain without back ache we can take a Xray of her thigh. But if she has some kind of decreased sensation on the lateral aspect of thigh, it could be because of wearing tight clothes. I would suggest you to get her examined by an orthopaedician and if needed get xray or MRI accordingly.
