Baby sleeps on my chest.
My daughter is 1 & half month old & she likes sleeping on my chest for most of the time especially when she cries for long. She awakes whole night & cries a lot during that time. Also she likes sleeping whole day long. Our main concern is whether it is unsafe for her lying on my chest for long since that might be putting stress on her stomach of may cause some back problems. Please suggest what to do.

Crying in infants is very common and usually reduces as the baby gets older. Sometimes lying on your stomach should be fine but be careful that u dont fall asleep and baby should also not sleep in this posture. The recommendation is to make baby sleep on a firm and hard mattress and on the back.

Hello.. Well as a child many of them having the habit to lie over the stomach...i understand your concern..But as long the baby is comfortable its okay to lie on the stomach..But make sure not lie like that immediately after food, when having cold or cough...Otherwise it's okay..Thank you
