Baby sleeps full day after takingformula
Hello Doctors,
My baby is 5 days old. Since I am still not having good BM my doctor has asked to give Formula feed because he has jaundice TBC 9.7 . Now when I give him FM he sleeps full day. I have to literally shake and wake him up for next feed everytime. I am very worried . Is it normal.
I tried using breast pump and only 1/ 2 milk came out. So I can't just keep him on BM .
Please tell me is it ok for baby to keep sleeping after having FM.
My baby birth weight was 3.2 and now after 5 dats it gas been reduced to 2.7.
500 GM's in 5 days. So I can't take risk of not giving FM too
Please help.

In my opinion, you need to see Lactational consultant, as most mothers switch to formula feeds out of anxiety. Allaying fears and a little training on positions is all that necessary. Breast milk is the Best milk .Jaundice appears physiological, nothing to worry.
