BABY saturation up/down after ROP TEST
Hello, My baby was born at 28 weeks and right now in NICU, at 31st week eye drops given to baby before ROP test,at that time no problem or no uncomfortable for baby becuase of eye drops or test. At 34th week begging again EYE drops and ROP test done again, but after that eye drops given baby was not comfortable baby's saturation was up and down for 4 to 5 times in an hour. From today morning to till now baby still feeling uncomfortable. Is this common for all premature babies becuase of eye drops ? or something other angle we need to see ? Thanks, Mahesh

Please don’t worry you are in the hospital , they will take care of baby. If baby has hypersensitivity / allergy to this particular salt in eye drop this could be an allergic reaction . Let the doctors who examine the baby decide what it is .
