Baby not speaking
My son is 23 months old but does not speak any word. He says MUMMA or PAPPA only when he is crying otherwise he doesnt say a single word. Everything about his listening and responding is normal. He makes everything understand by pointing to things and easily makes other person understand what he wants or requires. There is no other issue with the kid except he has not started talking yet. Please advise

Pointing has to be restrained to encourage the child to speak and express their needs.
Children often start speaking once you send them to a playgroup. But since the present scenario is not allowing that, a consultation with a speech therapist will be useful

Some children do not speak even upto 30 months. If the hearing of your child is normal you can wait. If you are very concerned you can consult a speech therapist to assess your child's hearing and speech.
