Baby having cold
Our 40 days old baby is having cold for last few days. Doctor has prescribed Amoxicillin and potassium clavulanate drops as antibiotics and Ambroxolhydrochloridedrops.
Our baby is taking mainly formula milk, we are struggling to feed her breast milk.
Is it safe to use antibiotics for babies less than 3 months old?

Using formula feed must be discouraged, try to breast feed baby. After every feed burping for 20 min and then make baby sleep in left lateral position decreases regurgitation which may cause cold. Use ascoryl flue drops 0.5 ml three times a day for 3 days.

Try to avoid bottle and give with spoon or pallada. Try direct feeds

Better avoid bottle feeding & continue breast feeding
Antibiotics are not required in common cold
Recofast drops 5-7 drops 3 times a day for 3 days is enough
