She is also having rash over legs and buttocks. Doctor gave us atarax with paracetamol. Today morning her wrist joint and ankle joint also shows swelling. Doc has diagnosed it as HSP and started on steroids with ibugesic plus. Her blood test and urine test are normal. Pls tell if this is right diagnosis as doc said there is no confirmatory test. Have faith on your treating doctor. Seems like HSP. It has good prognosis overall.

Seems like HSP although it's more common after 3yrs.. Steroids needed only if severe abdominal pain or joint pain as disease is self limited
Next Steps
Need to take care about hydration (give enough water, fluids), nutrition, paracetamol if pain
Health Tips
Rash may last upto 10 days. Some may experience recurrence, usually in 4 to 6 mnths

On the basis of history provided, it seems like HSP only. Please do complete research as per your satisfaction before choosing a specialist doctor, then have faith in the doctor who has seen, examined and tested your child. However, we understand being anxious and extra cautious as a parent, take care of the child’s needs like rest and water. Give medications timely as prescribed and let treating doctor know if anything new comes up. Make sure child is passing enough urine, it will tell you about hydration of the child which is important. HSP, in most cases resolves on its own in 7-10 days. Follow it up after one and half months for confirmation of resolution. Take care.
