First up all how many months had passed to ur marriage normal indian couple concieves within 6 month to 1 year after unprotected sex for 1 year if still ur not able to make ur wife pregnant then it is called as primary infertility and in this case u need to check ur semen analaysis by keeping 3 days absistence also need to examine ur wife and her blood reports with follicular study

Position in sex is not important. However, conventional missionary position is good where woman below and man on top position taken on bed.
Regarding best period for conception is middle third of menstrual cycle. if you divide one month menstrual cycle I to three parts----- sex in first and last 10 days are not important for pregnancy point of view. Good Luck.
