Baby belly button swelled up

My one and half month baby has recently has belly button swelled up. It protrudes more when he cries or archs his back. Is it normal? What should we do?

Your baby probably has an umbilical hernia
Umbilical hernias usually do not cause any health problem. Most of the time it will go away by 1 year of age.
