Ayurvedic principle- If any medicine is given in wrong dosage it acts as poisoin and if a poison when used in correct condition and dosage acts as medicine to patient! Research behind bhasmas ( organo metalic compounds) states that due to the elaborate process of making bhasmas metals lose their elemental toxic properties and get converted into nano particles with altogether different but medicinal properties, which are absent in metal form. Also this nano particle size helps entering blood brain barrier making medicines more active than herbal ones. Herbo mettalic medicines ( rasaushadhi) need expert supervision under Ayurvedic doctor to avoid toxicity. Improper dosage and use results is hepato and nephrotoxic.. Which is equally applicable for all allopathic drugs including crocin ( paracetamol)
