Auditory neuropathy is degenerative disorder of the Vestibulocochlear Nerve can cause distorted hearing and tinnitus which unfortunately cannot be rehabilitated by even a Cochlear Implant whereas Sensorineural Deafness is loss of hearing due to damaged hair cells in your Cochlea, but your Vestibulocochlear Nerve is intact, so Cochlear Implants tion is possible.
