Atarax and Desonide for 11weeks baby
My 2.5 month old baby has cradle cap and rashes on his neck and other skin folding areas like armpit. Dermatologist has prescribed Desonide lotion and Atarax syrup 1ml at night. Is it safe ? I have used this lotion 2 times now and rashes seems almost gone now. Should I still give him syrup or just lotion is enough?

He has what is called infantile eczema and will keep appearing and vanishing till one year of age. Stop both meds. If mild, just apply elovera cream twice a day for a week. If severe, apply atonide cream, but avoid as far as possible,as it's a steroid, and though very effective, harmful on prolonged usage. Also, keep your house cool, use AC,give bath with dove, use cotton clothing only, and apply glycerin mixed with equal amount of rose water or lime juice after every bath.
