If test is done in authorised laboratory and done RTPCR report than it is reliable and correct. Asymptomatic child can also spread infection as adult. More than that sometimes asymptomatic child may be spread infection to elderly and that cause major problem because child cries, cough and speak loud via that they spread it also they usually not take proper precautions like continue wearing mask , hand washing, touching all things.
Next Steps
Isolation positive patient in separate room with separate bathroom. Either of parents can take care and isolate them also.
Health Tips
Consult pediatrician if needed

Likely to be Covid. Home isolation is adequate if asymptomatic. Remote monitoring at home can be done by doctors and nurses using video consultation. If you want to enroll for remote home monitoring, please contact me for details.

If RT PCR was positive chances are less that reports are false . Consider this test as positive and take necessary precautions as benifit of doubt. Quarantine all family members for 2 weeks as per govt guideline . Watch for symptoms like fever /cough/throat pain/rashes/dirrhoea or resp distress. Inform nearest covid facility and be in touch . Also as all members are in house chances of infecting one another is very high so solution is just stay at home and take necessary precaution and observe for symptoms.

What kind of test was done? If it's RTPCR, positive report suggests infection and yes report is correct. Though the child is asymptomatic, he can still be a carrier and so are the chances for transfer of infection.
Next Steps
Keep him in isolation for 2 weeks and as long as he doesn't have symptoms.. hydration, zinc and multivitamin should suffice.
Health Tips
please consult online or in person if any symptoms arise. look for any fever, sore throat, fast breathing, urine output and his activity in general
