Hi ASO TITRE is anti.streptolysin antibody targeted against streptolysin o ,a toxin made by streprococci bacteria.Done when you have symptoms like joint pain,rheumatic fever,chest pain (carditis) ,glomerulonephritis etc.Its values are at peak at 3-5,weeks after infection and then titres lower down.If test is positive it indicates a recent strep infection but whether complications will arise or not cannot be predicted
