ASD of size 7mm.
My son is 3 months old. He is having an ASD of 7 mm. I want to know that what are the chances, that it will get closed automatically. I will be grateful to you if you kindly answer my query. Thank you.

Asd s less than 8 mm have an 80% chance of closure by 2 years according to a study in the 1990's. So chill and don't bother. Follow up w your ped cardiologist 6 monthly. Has this echo been done by a pediatric cardiologist ??
