Asked for Male, 20 Years

My friend is having hiv from 10 years and he take tablets from 10 years evry 1 years checkup he does and it's normal tanofier bt now from 2 days he's having morning acidity and all.. On a treatment of hiv medication can person live his normal.life span or he has some period os 10 15 years of medication?? Plz answer I m worried after reading it some were
