ARV and TT schedule and effectiveness
Hello Doc Last Sept.,2018, I had exposure to dog's saliva through an open wound, for which I took Tetanus and ARV-ID shots ( 3 of them- 8th, 12th and 17th sept .Dog was healthy so physician(PHC) stopped further vaccinations & told me to take single shot of ARV again on any future exposure). In Jan,2019 ,there was stray litter (2 months old pups),which was ill (bloody diarrhoea, wasting, anorexia, etc.) to which I was administering medicines. All of them died eventually within a week. While burying one of them (second to die), I got a minute scratch(approx 3mm) and slight bleeding from edge. I literally forgot of this wound in effort of trying to save rest one and administered medicine to him by forcefully opening his mouth with same hand afterwards (about an hour later) - on Jan 09,2019. Eventually the last pup also died next day with same symptoms. For this I took One ARV-IM on Jan 12,19 and TT shot on Jan 19,19. Please suggest if I have taken right medications. Thanks for your help.
