My mother is 73 years old. She is currently suffering from arthritis for the past six months. Medications did not help. Is knee cap replacement is the only option? What is the success percentage? Please suggest if there is any alternative?

Good morning I sustained pain and loss of functional Independence might very well be suggestive of TKR. However she needs to take physiotherapy treatment in either ways of treatment approach. Pre-operative physiotherapy is a must for faster recovery. If you don't put for surgery then she would need maintainence physiotherapy on regular basis.
