Anxiety problem
Hi Doctors,
I am sahithi 29 years old ,I have 10 months old son and recently underwent 6 weeks abortion, since 10 days i am suffering with severe anxiety and palpitations, fear ,muscle cramps,depression ..as a lactating mother can i use any anti depressants medications.please help me.

Yes the above symptoms are quite common as a result of both post-delivery status and post abortion. About the medications, as a Psychiatrist we do pescribe antidepressants safely to lactating mothers, but with specific instructions and precautions about breastfeeding, which needs to be followed.
