Antibiotics for Staph Infection
I have Staphylococcus Aureus and wound culture shows I am resistant to Penicillin and Amplicillin, but sensitive to Cloxacillin, Cefazolin, Cotrimoxazole and Clindamycin. Is Cephalexin effective or is it under the Penicillin/ Amplicillin category? Thanks.

Hello, not effective. CONSULT A GENERAL PHYSICIAN MD clindamycin is best. Ok.

Dear , we do culture sensitivity report to see the registrant pattern of medicine . Where is the wound u didn't informed. Still it doesn't give much difference but still better to know where is the infection because every drug having penetrating power different in different tissue and system. We can combine anything , as per me I wl go for Clindamycin . It gives same broad coverage . Only sensitivity is not important with that mic is important that is not given in report. Still I suggest Clindamycin
