When my wife went for usg in 36th week of pregnancy...1st time seen 8 mm right and 7.9 mm left pelvis dilation of my baby.. Next day she operated nd got baby boy...there after in routine usg.. Here are apd values of left renal pelvis-
1. Age 6 days - 8.9 mm
2. Age 1.5 month- 3.9 mm
3. Age 4 month- 4.4 mm
4. Age 9 month- 4.15 mm
5. Age 16 month-4.24 mm
6. Age 2 yr 5 month-5.37 mm
Right now My baby is 2.9 month of weight of 12 kg is asymptomatic..my concern is given belows-
1. Is it not hydronephrosis ??
2. In last scan there is increasing apd more than 1 mm.. is it error or hydronephrosis is starting worst?
3. What I do now.. Should I stop doing usg or do at time interval of 2 years??

According to the guidelines anything more than 5mm is considered as hydronephrosis or dilation in kidney they can again divided into mild moderate and severe as per your son's report he's in the mild one and we don't intervene till they have severe with urinary symptoms or have uti symptoms
