Hello doctor, i suffer from GERD and frequent gastritis due to Doctor also suspect IBS , nevertheless i generally have to take pantoprazole D two times in 24 hours to control the symptoms otherwise I start getting burning sensation as well as gerd issue. I don't want to take pan d everyday but I have no other options, is it safe to take pan d every other day??

If your symptoms are being controlled with pan D . U may continue .. there are as such no major side effects of this .. side effects are not that common with this .. but the permanent solution of your problem may need evaluation like endoscopy and also life style modification…
Regarding IBS .. gerd may be associated with IBS but in IBS ,there must be altered bowel movement and pain abdomen must .. for further evaluation.plz feel free to consult any gastroenterologist of your area
