Ankylosing spondylitis, SI JOINT PAIN
Hello, i am 31 year male, recently i have been diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis , i have very less back pain, my main problem is SI Joint pain on right side which has forced me to be on bed rest for the last one month, i am not able to twist while sleeping, not able to sit in car, not able to stand for more then 10 minutes, and stair climbing is a also an issues now, i can only sit on chair whole day. I have very less pain in the spine, my L3 L4 are black in MRI,

• Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. • Back Stretching- lie flat, pull one of the knee forward to chest, hold for 3 seconds, then bring the other knee forward to the chest and again hold for 3 seconds. Then pull both knees towards the chest and hold for 3 seconds. Repeat 10 times each exercise twice a day.

These are the classic features of sacroiliitis, in an acute phase. You need good pain killers for short term, Physiotherapy and if required a steroid injection into your SI joint if pain persists. You should visit a spine surgeon for further evaluation and care.
