Its been around 4 weeks now. I tried a bit of massage, hot water. But the pain goes away temporarily. It comes back after some time. It pain when theres any ankle related movement.

You have sprained your ankle badly..your ligament has got sprained..ideally for such sprains you need to be on a plaster for 1 week and then you need to put on an ankle binder for 3 weeks. Since its already been a month you need to take stress xrays and have a look at how the ankle is holding up..if the ligament is holding up ok then you need to put on ankle binder and slowly start physio If the xray shows ankle ligament instability you will need to be on a plaster and then slowly ankle binder followed by physiotherapy.
Next Steps
stress xray view of the ankle
