If constipation persists despite dietary changes:
Polyethylene glycol (PEG)(0.8 gram/ kg) mixed in one tumbler of water at night is often first-line for children,
Lactulose may also be used.
DO NOT use enemas or suppositories unless prescribed by a pediatrician.

Persistent vomiting
Severe abdominal pain
Blood in stools
Weight loss or failure to thrive
