Anal fissure
Sir I am diabetic with hypertension . For the past few weeks, I am suffering from anal bleeding. After consulting with my family doctor,he prescribed few painkillers and antibiotics. Initially the pain and bleeding went down. But it came to the same stage as before. Next I consulted a piles specialist and he has prescribed 'pile heal', lidocaine cream, etc. Though the burning sensation and pain have subsided, the bleeding still continues. I don't know what to do about this. Please help. Yours sincerely Rajeshwari P

Please consult a gastro surgeon and get your anus examined. Rule out whether it is fissure or haemorrhoids, though it looks more like fissure. Get a laxative and adjust its dose to have liquid stools. Also drink plenty of water. Do sitz bath with betadine. Apply anorelief or anobliss ointment.
