Anal fissure and bleeding for a week
Hello, I have hard stool, pain while passing stool and blood in toilet bowl and dripping. Severe pain afterwards for several hours. Going on for a week. I have been suffering from haemmorroids since 2 years, but not so much bleeding until now. Kindly help. Been taking stool softner, but not helpful.

You don't have haemorrhoids. You have anal fissure which is caused either by hard stools or diarrhoea.
Symptoms include
1. Severe pain anus while passing motions
2. Burning anus lasting several hours
3. Blood streaked stool or in stream
4. After 6 weeks you will feel a skin tag at anus
Next Steps
Management includes
1. avoid hard stools...take more water. laxatives not containing fiber
2. xylocaine 2%anaesthetic gel. obviate burning
3. chemical sphincterotomy agents heal fissure
4. surgery if all else fails. minimally invasive surgery

do not postpone motions
sittin in plain warm water will decrease pain
avoid spices

Stool softner to be continued .. u may need antibiotic also but cannot comment without examination.

Green leafy vegetables, plenty fibar in diet ,stool softener, local anaesthetic,anti inflammatory will solve the problem
