Hi You need to do general scaling for yellow discolouration.Later if you feel still discolored proceed with teeth whitening. As a home remedy , boil some clove,baking soda with water and gargle for 15 days once .You can also apply vinegar with lemon .

If u r sure that this yellowish discolouration is because of smoking then can go for scalung and polishing. Yellowish dicoloration can also be fluorosis. Best can be judge by examining the patient but still initially go for scaling.
