Wrist nerve swollen

On my left hand wrist the nerve is swollen and on the thumb there is no pain however when tries to pick any heavy object there is a sensation of pain

It can be Dequervain tenosynovitis, which is Stenosing tenosynovitis (means the tunnel through which the tendons go has shrunken in size) of thumb tendons. 80% of patients benefit with analgesics, If not subsided,it needs a Steroid injection into the sheath which can work for 2-3 months, Best treatment is Surgery where we release the tunnel through which the tendons pass..Can be done with local anesthesia as an Outpatient procedure. After surgery thumb can be mobilized immediately after pain relief.. Orthopedic Surgeon is the person to evaluate this case.

It couldbe deqirivvens synovitis Get some pain medication with US therapy Ifnot resolved steroid injection to be given intrathecally If not then last resort is surgery
