The protein supplements should provide following information.... 1. the constituents... The source of protein and type of protein 2. Manufactured by 3. Marketed by 4. The authentic licence number, batch number, its manufacturing date, its expiry date 5. Is it free of steroids, growth hormone. 6. Whether it has undergone through R&D. ......... You have to look for many such points before taking protein supplements. Usually the protein supplements do not provide all the authentic information and Many times it contains steroids or other hormones which helps to grow muscle mass fast.... But than there are many side effects associated with it.......We medics always fear those side effects so don't recommend. My personal experience is......you gain muscle mass fast but not able to sustain it.
