Salt is restricted for some special condition, like in hypertension salt need to be restricted but if any one is free from disease, only wants to reduce body weight then there is no need to salt restriction, rather from iodized salt, iodine will free which is maintaining the function of
thyroid hormones. But obviously excess consumption of salt will be harmful, like in processed and fast food salt content is more. One should use salt while cooking instead of taking raw while eating. A balanced weight reduction diet and exercise certainly help in reduction of weight. Include vegetables, fresh fruits, complex carbohydrates in your diet and have small quantity frequent meal but how much weight you need to be reduced that only depends upon your present weight and height.
