Yes you are partially correct with regards to generalised joint pains in view of
vitamin D deficiency , but do realise that your feet and ankles are the most stressed out joints along with your knees as they bear the weight of your body , that being said if despite correction , if pain persists , with swelling and reddish hue over the skin , it is safe to assume that it could be inflammatory in nature , does your pain increase on consuming high protein foods or if you consume alcohol , do get an esr ,
crp and serum
uric acid teat done , also when the pain is most intense and if there is a swelling to accompany get an HRUS of the specific ankle joint .
