Very Bad Body Posture

2023-05-28 09:43:58
I am a 19 yr old male. I believe I have a very bad body posture but I am not sure what kind of problem it is. Is it Kyphosis or Lordosis or any hip problem or neck problem or something else completely? Whenever I try to sit without support of my spine, it just doesn't feel right so I end up bending forward taking my elbows support on my thighs, or I just take any back support. I can't sit with a straight back for more than 30-45 mins, my lower back starts hurting. I also have a sedentary lifestyle, so whenever I am at home I'm laying on my bed with neck and back support of pillows Can someone please let me know what do I have, and what kind of exercises can I do to fix it? I have attached some images of the resting position of my body, and when I try to straighten my back.

Adapted way of sitting or standing is most often not a big problem. Posture issues are commonly over assessed and over treated. Get a Physio assessment done to see if there is any significant & relevant structural change. If there's none, just start regular exercise and stay active.  Initial few months of exercise plans can be guided by your Physio.
