TSH increased while trying to conceive

2026-08-04 04:38:49
Hello Doctor, I am 29 years old and actively trying to conceive. My TSH was 1.26 in February/March, and since then I have been taking Thyroxine 37.5 mcg daily on an empty stomach as advised. My latest TSH is 2.52. I have been taking the medicine regularly every day, but the timing has varied slightly. Sometimes I take it at 7:00 AM, sometimes 7:30 AM, and on a few days around 8:00–8:30 AM. Could this variation in timing have caused the increase in my TSH? Should I continue the same 37.5 mcg dose, or does it need to be adjusted since I am trying to conceive? Thank you.

Taking your thyroid medicine at a consistent time each day helps keep levels stable, and timing variation can play a small role in this kind of change.
Next Steps
Please discuss this TSH result and any dose change with your treating doctor, since that decision needs your full thyroid picture.
Health Tips
Don't adjust your own dose, especially while trying to conceive.

Timing won't cause a problem..your dose has to be adjusted..also you need to go to a physician get your thyroid evaluated completely with all the tests and review the dose
