Treatment plan for toe fracture

My left pinky toe got a mildly displaced fracture 3 weeks back. Doctor did buddy strapping with the next finger and said normal activities can be followed. So I have 2 kids and I am all over the place carrying out daily errands and activities as usual.. Pain is there but not as much. However, after almost 4 weeks when I went for repeat xray, as doctor suggested that the buddy strap would be discontinued after 3weeks, we found the fracture has not healed, though not displaced. I wish to know how do they treat a persistent fracture like this?

It's not mandatory that fracture will heal in exact 4 weeks in some cases it might take 1 or 2 more weeks for healing.
Next Steps
don't worry it will unite
