Please share the age of child. Treatment depends on the age. Most probably either pulp therapy or extraction will be required. Do visit a local dentist for treatment and physical evaluation.

First meet a dentist,they will do x-rays which will confirm the condition and extent of dental infection. But as you are saying about pus discharge and abscess ,most probably RCT is needed.

Get xray of tooth done. If it's deciduous teeth, get pulpectomy done, or if it's permanent teeth, get RCT done by a dentist. Take antibiotics along with analgesics to relieve pain and infection. You can consult through this for prescription of medication and instructions.

Kindly mention the age of your son. I would to advise to take diagnostic xray. This will show the extent of the infection and helps us to decide if we can perform rct with periapical treatment to save the tooth or removal of the tooth.

Kindly visit a dentist and get an X-ray done for that tooth and get it examined… That tooth will required a root canal treatment and followed by capping for the tooth to maintain the strength for that tooth .
