From your attached image and description, there seems to be dry socket on one side. Final confirmation after thorough examination. A dry socket is an empty space, at the extracted site, if the blood clot that is supposed to be formed, dislodges or dissolves. The nerves and bone gets exposed causing pain within few days of extraction instead of relief from pain in a regular tooth removal within a week.
A dry socket is a very rare occurrence.
