You should visit a dentist and get it re-fixed if its in a good condition. Dont try to fix it yourself with a denture adhesive, because the adhesive used for crown fixation is different.
Health Tips
get it done ASAP because dimensions can change if you keep it for long outside.

You can use the same cap if it's in proper condition. Your dentist will fix it with an adhesive.
Next Steps
keep your cap safe and visit your dentist.

Denture adhesive helps only removable dentures. It won't help for tooth crown. You need  to go to a dentist who will recement it to your tooth with proper adhesive cement
Next Steps
Visit a Dentist with your recement cap as early as possible
Health Tips
Crown tend to dislodge due to eating very hard food and/ or sticky food.Better avoid them if you have tooth cap.

Hi,Please visit a dentist to get the cap fixed immediately as more the delay the cap will not fit. Also do not use denture adhesive as it is different from cap adhesive. Also after the cap is fixed please avoid sticky things so that cap will last long.

: ) nice thought..but denture adhesive are meant for adhesion between mucosa and denture...that doesnt work for cap to tooth adhesion..
Next Steps
visit a dentist immediate, he would clean the cap and your tooth for any remnants of old adhesive, then fix that cap again (provided your tooth structure is intact )
Health Tips
don't delay, any movement of tooth loses the fiitting of cap..
