Broken tooth can cause serous pain and discomfort. Pain could be due to vital part ot the tooth containing nerves being exposed . It might need just a filling or may be rct.  Suggest you to visit a dentist and get your tooth examined . Also the broken part of tooth may cause ulceration in tongue.

Please visit a dentist & get an xray done.  probably you might have to do root canal done.

Tooth never break itself..it only breaks when more pressure is applied while chewing very hard food or tooth have hidden caries..so you should go for a dental checkup.because if there is decay approaching to vital part of tooth then it may require rct but if it is not approaching to vital part of tooth then restoration or cap or inlay if required , can be made and you can save vitality of your tooth and save life of tooth but if ignore , then you may lose your tooth also...
