T4 = 9.1 µg/dL (normal)
(Normal: 5.1–14.1 µg/dL)
TSH = 2.57 µIU/mL (normal)
(Normal: 0.27–4.2 µIU/mL)
📌 Interpretation Based on Harrison’s Manual:
🔍 Possible Diagnosis:
Euthyroid with isolated borderline elevated T3
Not diagnostic of hyperthyroidism
No need for thyroid medication unless clinical hyperthyroid symptoms present (e.g., tremors, weight loss, palpitations)
Could be a lab variation or transient fluctuation
🟢 When to Consider Treatment:
According to Harrison’s, start treatment only if:
TSH is suppressed (low)
T3/T4 are both elevated
Symptomatic hyperthyroidism present

Do not start thyroid tablets now
Repeat thyroid profile after 4–6 weeks with:
Free T3, Free T4, TSH
