Thyroid during pregnancy

2025-10-25 09:09:17
Hello doctor, I'm 11weeks pregnant now. No previous history of thyroid earlier. I got a TSH done and the results are 3.71. Do I need to take any medicine for this level? Or not required?

Yes and nothing to worry it is very common and most of the times resolves back after delivery

Repeat the early morning sample . If still values are on the higher side we will look into it . If at all a low dose would be required. Connect for further guidance

Hi there, don't worry, it's in the normal range. I suggest you take video consultation for nutrition and supplements during early pregnancy for healthy growth of baby.

The TSH level should be below 2.5 in first trimester of pregnancy. You need medicine for the same. Consult endocrinologist please.
