Hello. Glad to see someone practicing preventive measures. I must tell you that a good set of teeth has a lot to do with genetics as well. However, there are some practices that go a long way, such as: avoiding
sugar in any form (specially sticky refined carbohydrates), brushing before going to bed (not immediately after meal), flossing to prevent buildup of calculus, having a balanced diet and multivitamins.
Avoid mouthwash unless advised by dentist for a stipulated period of time as we don't want to disturb the microbiom in your mouth.

Visit a dentist for regular checkups to rule out anything that might need assistance. Don't delay treatment thinking pain is not involve. The more you wait, the more it gets complicated and the more money you spent.
