Usually when there is accidental aspiration of crowns or any foreign substance into the digestive system is less harmful. It usually gets cleared through the stools. Keep hydrating yourself and have fibrous fruits and vegetables.

Hello Do not worry as it is not going to cause any issue But go for the x-ray of the broken tooth as that may lead to infection

Dear Accidentally swallowing a broken tooth is rare, but manageable. No immediate action needed: 1. The tooth fragment will likely pass through your digestive system harmlessly. 2. Teeth are non-toxic and non-corrosive. Precautions: 1. Monitor stool passage for 2-3 days. 2. Watch for severe abdominal pain, vomiting, or bleeding (rare). 3. Hydrate adequately. Dental follow-up: 1. Schedule an appointment to assess the remaining tooth structure. 2. Discuss repair or replacement options. Rare complications: 1. Intestinal blockage (extremely rare). 2. Infection (if tooth fragment causes internal damage). If you experience: 1. Severe abdominal pain 2. Vomiting blood or black tarry stools 3. Fever 4. Difficulty breathing Seek immediate medical attention. Stay calm; the likelihood of complications is low. Best regards, Dr. Pratikshit Anand Additional guidance: - Document the incident for future reference. - Avoid worrying; focus on dental repair. Consult your dentist for personalized advice.

Dear patient, You need not to worry about the broken tooth you swallowed, but please visit your dentist for the replacement of your broken tooth as the sharp edges might cause unnecessary trauma to soft tissues of your mouth. Take care .
