🧠 My Opinion (As a Psychiatrist):
Your symptoms — hand shakiness, anxiety, and recent chest pain — are commonly seen in individuals experiencing moderate to severe anxiety or panic symptoms. The left-sided chest pain is especially alarming for many, as it mimics cardiac issues, but in young individuals with no cardiac history, it is more often related to muscle tension, hyperventilation, or panic attacks.
The shaking of hands could also be due to autonomic overactivation, where the body remains in a fight-or-flight mode for prolonged periods due to unmanaged stress. These are genuine physical manifestations of emotional distress and need proper care
Next Steps
🩺 Next Step (What should the patient do next?):
1. Consult a psychiatrist to evaluate for anxiety spectrum disorders or panic disorder and rule out other causes.
2. A basic medical check-up including ECG is advisable — to rule out cardiac causes and reassure you medically.
3. You may benefit from a short course of anxiolytic medications or beta-blockers for tremors under supervision.
4. Begin therapy (CBT) to address the underlying triggers, patterns, and bodily responses to anxiety.
Health Tips
⚠️ Helpful Tips / Word of Caution:
Avoid Google-searching symptoms — it increases health anxiety.
Limit caffeine intake (coffee, tea, energy drinks) — it can increase tremors and palpitations.
Practice 4-7-8 breathing technique and progressive muscle relaxation twice daily.
If the chest pain increases with exertion or radiates to the jaw or left arm — seek emergency care immediately to rule out any heart-related cause.
