Stitches Removal

Dear Doctor I had a wisdom tooth removal surgery which was complicated and doctor put 2 stiches( non dissolvable) here..and I was so scared that I did not had stitches cut yet..it been around 3 months...is it a big problem to get them removed and is it again a complicated thing ?? I am very scared pls help

Hi.. You should go for a check up... And you should have got the stitches removed as it is a very painless procedure and hardly takes any time.. Not removing sutures has its own side effects.. Like food entrapment and Secondary infection.. Atlest go for a check up now to make sure all is OK.

Hello, As you stated the suture was done 3 months back by this time it might have loosen and only some part must be left... Please share pic for clearance. See food logement is common in this case so get it checked and removing suture just require a single cut on suture please don't be afraid.

Do warm saline rinse after ever meal to keep the area clean.

Hi ! You got minor surgery done and how can you be scared of suture removal, it's a very simple procedure. Anyway that really long time actually the sutures might have fallen off . Don't worry . But still go for check up once.

Hi, Please get them removed as they can be source of infection. Dont worry suture removal is a very easy non painful procedure.In fact they may already have fallen off.Hope that helps.
