Stapedectomy

I have gone through stapedectomy last week and my inner ear packaging is also removed. Now I couldn't hear anything from that ear and also ear drops are not going inside. Is this normal?

It may take some time like 2-3 weeks for the hearing to optimise but if the surgery had gone well, u should perceive at least some improvement in hearing. U feel anything abnormal visit ua surgeon.

Let the gelfoams dissolve... You will see the difference. If there's no major difference in hearing consult the operating Surgeon in person and go for audiometry and impedance tests if he/she advises.

If you could not hear anything after stapedectomy then that's abnormal, visit doctor immediately. If you are hearing less than what you expect, then wait for one month, it takes time for the gelfoam to get absorb that is place inside the middle ear.
