She can use sunscreen. But there should be no hurry to start using sunscreen at this stage. She surely can't go out that frequently and the Sun is not so bright that she should need sunscreen.

Usually skin clears of pigmentation post delivery. Certain sunscreens are safe to use while breastfeeding. Choose those ones. Pls wait for dark spots to settle on their own as they usually do 2 months post delivery. She can follow a simple skin care regime of cleansing the skin, moisturising and using a breastfeeding safe sunscreen
